SIGNAGE

UHS designers review the architectural plans and analyze the implied circulation patterns of the various traffic elements: staff, patients, visitors, and materials, to provide a comprehensive signage system. As such, the design ensures the integrity of signage elements within a holistic and coordinated framework of orientation and wayfinding. Ease of accessibility throughout the facility, to reach all areas permitted to visitors, and the ease of terminology on signage, are important details taken into consideration in the design process. Specifications, distribution tables, and other details are then incorporated while designing the facility signage system to ensure a proper flow as stipulated in the Initial designs.
