UHS, and as part of the integrated healthcare facility planning services, provides Information Communication Technology (ICT) planning consultancy services. The ICT Systems and Technology Concept Report is the first tool prepared to help identify client requirements for systems, infrastructure, and interfaces to be designed. Interfaces, such as, a data center, a hospital information management system (HIMS), a nurse call communication system, a real time location system (RTLS), networks, wireless networks, and VoIP, to name a few. This report is developed further by detailing the requirements of the various systems by means of identifying the number of data points, equipment, and required devices, plus their locations which are shown on the UHS Floor Layout Plans/Room Data Requirements Drawings. The Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and the Functional Specifications are then produced, identifying all integration and interface needed with the medical equipment and ICT systems.
